The popular open source browser Mozilla, Firefox, has reached version 4-beta 6. The new browser brings within itself big news in the exploration web. The main ones are:
* Support audio / video HTML5;
Direct2D acceleration * Support on Windows (Vista and Seven), made available thanks to DirectX 10;
* Sync, a tool that allows you to share bookmarks , history and saved passwords directly with other computers and mobile devices (requires registering an account Firefox Sync);
* A card management improved;

10.10 - New Chrome
Today we explore the news that the new release of Ubuntu is proposing. As mentioned earlier, the 'Ubuntu Software Center is the focus of the developers, as it is designated to become the operator of excellence for software distribution in vogue at the time!
This new version (3.0.4) has a graphical interface more beautiful, edited and with an attention to detail. Very comfortable, in fact, are the slideshow applications! USC also manages the source software, or repository, which until now were available from the menu System / Administration. Another change concerns
Ubuntu One. At Maverick, each directory / home has a bar on the synchronization of the content on U1, through an easy checkbox you can automatically synchronize the contents of / home on our "personal cloud".
Then we find the new menu sound, a very nice feature through which you can manage the Rhythmbox music player without opening it. During the performance of a song, if available, or if you are connected to the internet, the sound menu shows the cover of the track. Forte, right?
Technically, Maverick offers us the 2.6.35 kernel, with an amazing hardware support, new video drivers (which ATI on should solve several problemini) and start and stop times almost equal to Lucid.
Firefox 3.6.10, OpenOffice 3.2.1 and 2:32 Gnome packages are available that make the latest Ubuntu distribution Maverick Meerkat a beautiful, responsive, easy to use and appreciate.

I already talked about some time ago Chrome OS, the operating system kernel based on Linux branded Google.
Today the news that came out of these wizards Mountain View may have set the official release date: November 11, 2010 . The sources are still uncertain and there are different opinions, but if this date (which is still cited more than once) does not represent the final output of Chrome OS, is certainly the "code freeze", or the end of the coding source. If so, for the release of the operating system will have to wait another few days ...
The development seems to have reached the Release Candidate version number 0.9.78.1 . Very little is missing then the release of Chrome OS 1.0!

10.10 - First impressions
Although I have used Ubuntu Meerkat Maverick since he was in beta, to make an objective evaluation and accurate we need to focus attention to the stable release.
And that's what I'm about to do ^ __ ^
Battlefield: Asus X51L (T5750@2.00 Ghz Core 2 Duo - 2 GB RAM - Video Intel GMA 965 - HDD 250 GB) with 10.10 i386 Ubuntu (desktop).
The installation process is extremely simplified. Besides the now usual slideshow feature of the system, there is a disk management easier, you can install the proprietary codecs for audio-visual playback and instead we no longer have the scroll bar. Or rather, there but not seen! E 'was cleverly hidden, even if there is a chance to see (along with the installation logs) by a comfortable and discreet expander.
Everything is completed in 15 minutes, installation failed completely and our new delivery ready for use.

Lucid also because he had already turned down a lot of many things, not be expected to improve in everything ;-)
With a window of Firefox 3.6.10 and the Rhythmbox music player on, Maverick consumes about 300 MB of memory ... I would say more than acceptable!
Finally, to my surprise, I found an application that I have always criticized since its appearance (Karmic Koala), but in his new role (and not just graphics) made me think again ...
This One Ubuntu, the free storage service offered by Canonical to users of Ubuntu. What about ... never worked, those rare times synchronization was slow and sometimes would stop 80% ... a nuisance!
This new version however, in addition to bringing a utility (integrated) easier to use, works even better! I sync a directory containing several documents and photos: everything perfect, everything smooth. This makes me really pleased :-)
For now I'll stop here, but I will return to talk about Maverick and innovation which resulted!

Especially in the early hours, if you want to download the new version of Ubuntu, use the torrent. This choice has two advantages:

Ieri in mattinata è uscita la versione RC di Maverick Meerkat, la perfect 10 !
Mancano solamente 9 giorni all'uscita ufficiale, oramai non ci aspettiamo aggiornamenti ma, to the limit, some bugfixes.
To download the RC just visit this site http://releases.ubuntu.com/maverick/ and choose the version that interests us.
I remind all, however, that if we already have a version in development, such as the beta, not every time you need to download the iso. With regular updates you will always the latest version.
